Dreamy Neutral Garden Wedding in La Jolla with Chic Contemporary Details

For Emma and Sean, it was all about the details and being able to finally celebrate with their families and friends. The wedding aesthetic was always sleek and refined, however our color scheme evolved over the years of planning. After their engagement was extended due to USMC deployments and the pandemic delays, Emma and Sean were joyfully able to have their dream wedding steps away from La Jolla Cove.

A creamy palette of nude and soft pinks was the perfect combination to add an enchanting romance to their outdoor garden ceremony and dinner reception. Their ceremony altar was centered around the venues existing trellis, with florals perched atop white pedestals framing the wedding couple and a shimmering champagne curtain gently billowing behind them. Throughout the wedding, fresh florals in mostly whites, ivorys and barely-there blush were mixed with golden grasses and foliage to create a dynamic coloration of au naturel. The newlyweds sweetheart table was placed in front of a floralized fountain overflowing with delicate blooms. Underneath the floral arrangements, sage runners were gathered in the center of the round guest tables. All of the vases and vessels for the centerpieces were a ceramic taupe and added a natural and raw texture to the chicly organic tabletop designs. To accomplish a perfectly neutral and contemporary table setting we paired slender glassware with simple gold flatware and a knotted oat colored napkin atop off-white stoneware.

They treated their guests to an assortment of decadent desserts, including salted caramel macarons and tiramisu verrines. Their two-tier wedding cake was frosted with italian buttercream and had pleating of wafer paper dancing off of the layers of vanilla cake lined with cream cheese frosting and filled with passionfruit curd, mascarpone cream, blueberry sauce.
