Bougie After Dark Wedding on New Year's Eve

New Year, Newlyweds.

KxP’s NYE Wedding was the ultimate meld between high fashion and avant-garde. After nightfall, under a canopy of twinkle lights and with a disconnected arch made up of fresh and preserved florals and foliage the couple exchanged vows and had their first kiss as wife and husband as cold sparklers erupted behind them.

The bride wore a Sequin Wedding gown from Kyha, which made it a simple choice to place her side of the wedding party in all white gowns. In case the bride lost her glass slipper before the clock struck midnight, she had two extra pairs of Amina Muaddi heels on hand.

The groom kept it classic and elevated with a tux featuring a black velvet jacket and Gucci accessories. Unlike most wedding party’s the grooms side was twice the size as the brides — another perfect example of how weddings can be anything you want them to be and there are no rules.

The reception tables were dressed in black satin linens and embellished with black chargers, black candles and a shimmer of silver flatware. The arched mirror table numbers were inspired by the curvature of the historic facade of the venue and arc of the ballroom windows. The artistic ceremony altar pieces were repurposed to frame the sweetheart table. The centerpieces included two distinct styles, both featuring a full cast of florals in white, ivory, cream and barely-there neutrals. Throughout the floral arrangements colorless peacock feathers and plumes of pampas grass were incorporated to add texture and movement to the unassuming designs.
